Tahsin joined IP Asset in February 2019 as a trainee patent attorney having completed the PGCert Intellectual Property Law course at Queen Mary University London.
Following his graduation from University College London with an MEng in Engineering with Business Finance in 2009, Tahsin completed an MRes in the Science and Engineering of Materials at the University of Birmingham in 2010. Thereafter, Tahsin worked in international business development for a leading materials testing manufacturer before commencing a role as a materials development engineer in hardfacing repair of forging dies. Tahsin qualified as a Chartered Engineer in January 2016.
In October 2017, Tahsin completed his PhD at Brunel University London while based full-time at TWI Ltd in Cambridge, where he conducted research on the active metal brazing of ceramics. Tahsin authored several peer-reviewed journal publications and presented his work at international conferences. His thesis, which received several academic prizes including the Prof Sir Richard Brook Prize, was published by CRC Press as a book entitled ‘A Review of the Alumina/Ag-Cu-Ti Active Metal Brazing Process’. Tahsin currently authors the ‘Patent of The Month’ articles in IOM3’s Materials World Journal.
Tahsin likes to take advantage of his spare time by playing tennis and as a PADI-qualified open water diver he also enjoys travelling to exotic scuba diving destinations.
